Bethesda has released a new video for Starfield, going behind the scenes for a discussion between game director Todd Howard, art director Matt Carofano and studio director Angela Browder. They talk about Bethesda Game Studios’ development process, its history and how all of that has gone into shaping Starfield. Check it out below.

There are many ideas and goals that go into making a Bethesda title but the unifying theme seems to be in allowing players to create their own stories. And while The Elder Scrolls 5: Skyrim offered a more fantasy setting, Starfield is noted to be more grounded and realistic. Players can expect things like watching the sun rise and set, and Howard also speaks about two “step out” moments in the game (though didn’t offer any spoilers).

Starfield releases on November 11th 2022 and will be available exclusively for Xbox Series X/S and PC. It launches day one on Xbox Game Pass. A proper showcase is planned for Summer 2022 so stay tuned for more details until then.
