Mortal Kombat 1 - Nitara

NetherRealm Studios has released a new trailer for Mortal Kombat 1, confirming the return of Nitara as a playable fighter after she was spotted in a recent leak of the game’s roster. Debuting in Mortal Kombat: Deadly Alliance, she’s a vampire and requires blood to stay alive but isn’t inherently evil. Actor Megan Fox of Transformers fame plays her – check out new details on her thoughts on the role and Nitara’s abilities in the trailer below.

Her role isn’t completely defined, but she runs afoul of the Lin Kuei and Ashrah and even taunts Kung Lao. Her abilities are also interesting since Nitara attacks quickly and can fly through the air. She drinks blood, which seems to power her up but can also self-damage for a boost. We’ll have to wait for more details on her kit in the coming days, so stay tuned.

Mortal Kombat 1 is out on September 19th for Xbox Series X/S, PS5, PC and Nintendo Switch (which has performance issues, per recent leaks). Pre-orders gain access to Shang Tsung as a playable character, while Premium Edition owners can access the game on September 14th.
