Per the official website, it’s set in a “reborn” universe created by Fire God Liu Kang and features a new fighting system, game modes and Fatalities. Check out the announcement trailer below.

The roster features “Kameo” fighting partners who will assist in battle and a new story with classic Mortal Kombat characters as “you’ve never seen them before.” In the trailer, Mileena, Kitana Sub-Zero, and Scorpion are seen, with potential tag-team combat teased.
