Marvel's Spider-Man 2 - Mary Jane Watson

Insomniac Games debuted a new story trailer and details for Marvel’s Spider-Man 2, showcasing several characters for the first time. We got to see Harry Osborne and Venom, along with updated looks for Peter Parker, Miles Morales and Mary Jane Watson.

Some believed that Mary Jane’s face had changed, like how Ben Jordan replaced John Bubniak as the face of Peter Parker from Marvel’s Spider-Man Remastered onwards, triggering significant backlash from fans. However, James Stevenson, director of community and marketing at Insomniac, clarified that she had the “same face model” and was played by the same actress (the famed Laura Bailey).

Perhaps the sheer fidelity of the sequel’s visuals threw some people off. Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 is out on October 20th for PS5. Set nine months after the events of Marvel’s Spider-Man: Miles Morales, Insomniac promises it will look “even better by launch.”

In the meantime, check out the limited edition PS5 and DualSense here and stay tuned for more updates before the game’s release.
