Turn 10 Studios’ Forza Motorsport is out this year but still lacks a release date. Nevertheless, the developer did provide some new details on accessibility. On Xbox Wire, gameplay and accessibility producer Neha Chintala outlined features like Blind Driving Assists for Blind or Low Vision players, created with feedback from accessibility consultant Brandon Cole.

These are essentially audio cues to provide more information on car position, approach, turn progression, the deceleration needed, and much more. Descriptions of each are also available in the accessibility menu to help familiarize players with what they do.

Other noteworthy features include One Touch Driving for different assists in braking, steering and throttling to minimize inputs; a Screen Narrator to provide information on navigating the UI; Dynamic Audio Description for descriptions of cinematics that change as the time of day and weather does; and Text-to-Speech/Speech to Text. There’s support for tritanopia, deuteranopia, or protanopia, and an option to add filters to objects like cars, drivers, cinematics, and so on.

Controller remapping, subtitles, contrast for the UI and HUD to improve readability, the option to disable moving backgrounds, text scaling and difficulty options are also included. There’s a lot on offer to ensure accessibility to everyone.

Forza Motorsport is coming to Xbox Series X/S and PC. It will also be available for Game Pass on day one. Check out a partial list of confirmed cars in the meantime.
